Welcome This site is sponsored by the Fruit and Spice Park
The Fruit & Spice Park is a 37-acre subtropical botanical paradise nestled in the heart of the historic Redland community just 35 miles south of Miami. Maintained and operated by Miami-Dade County Park and Recreation, more than 500 varieties of rare fruits, herbs, spices and nuts from around the world including 80 varieties of bananas; 70 varieties of bamboo; 40 varieties of grapes; 50 varieties of mangoes; 15 varieties of jackfruit trees and numerous other exotic edibles are grown here.
We invite you to come and marvel at lush trees brimming with colorful fruit whose very names and shapes evoke the exotic; Mangosteen, Fiji Longan, Dragon Fruit, and Jaboticaba. Visit the Park's herb and vegetable garden, stroll through the shady banana groves, and wonder at the majesty of the African Baobab trees. Visitors may sample fallen fruit (no above-ground harvesting is permitted) or get a taste of the season's bounty at the Welcome Center's tasting table.
Spend an hour or an entire day at the Fruit & Spice Park for a tastefully exotic experience.
