January 12 & 13
Redland Festival
10am to 5pm
Admission: $6 (Children under 12 are free)
A tradition at the Park since 1976, this annual festival features local arts and crafts, a large selection of tropical plants and great food. Children’s activities include a petting zoo, pony rides, an interactive puppet & magic show, and a wild and wonderful Everglades reptile show.

19th Annual Asian Culture Festival
10 am to 6 pm
Admission: $6 (Children under 12 are free)
In its 19th year, this annual festival features Asian crafts, art, and exotic music and dance, highlighted by a tasty selection of authentic Far Eastern cuisine. Children can participate in the Asian passport activity, and receive a special gift upon completion. Sponsors: Thai-American Association, and the Fruit & Spice Park.

Haliconia, Palm & Flower Show
10 am to 5 pm
Admission: $6 (Children under 12 free)
Large exhibit of Haliconia blossoms on display and a multitude of Haliconia plants for sale. Palm trees, shrubs, and orchids are also available.

Health & Wellness Day
10 am to 5 pm
Admission $6
A new event at the Park that will highlight the practical methods utilized to improve your health & well being. Services to include: Aromatherapy, Reiki, Chair Massage, and meditation. Come and participate in the Tai Chi classes, yoga, and health food demonstrations.

Redland International Orchid Show
9 am to 5 pm
Admission: $6
Truly the largest annual orchid show in the U.S. featuring over 50 booths of educational exhibits and orchid vendors. An American Orchid Society judged event showcasing various types of orchids, plants, and supplies for sale, as well as lectures by experts, raffles, and international food.

Redland Summer Fruit Festival
10 am to 5 pm
Admission $6; (Children under 12 are free)
This annual event showcases local agriculture, and tropical fruits. Vendor booths featuring local wines, yummy foods, and rare fruit samplings will be available. Sponsored by the Fruit and Spice Park.

Hunters Moon
7:30 pm to 10:00 pm
Admission $10
(Children under 6 are free)
Under the allure, and mystique of the full moon, Southern Cross Astronomical Society will guide you through a celestial exploration of the heavens. Bring a blanket, and enjoy music, refreshments, and story telling around the campfire.

Kid’s Herb Pizza Garden

Instructor: Karen Esty
Kids will have blast! Make the best pizza in the world from your very own herb garden. Learn to plant and care for the various herbs that are used in cooking. Kids will go straight from the garden to the parks kitchen to create their very own masterpieces. Delizioso!

Authentic Thai Cooking
10 am to 1 pm
Fee $25
Come explore the world of Thai cuisine, and take a journey through tastes, and flavors of the Orient. Learn about spices, unique ingredients, and special techniques utilized in this ancient cuisine. This class is held at the beautiful Buddhist Temple in the Redland.

Authentic Southern Indian Cooking
10 am to 1 pm
Fee $25
Learn “Hands on” cooking techniques from exotic Southern India as Chef Laura guides you through the wonderful world of this intricate cuisine. Class held at the Fruit and Spice Park.

Florida Keys Safari
Leave Fruit & Spice Park at 8 am All Day Trip
Fee: $40
Enjoy a scenic tour through the Botanical, private, and historic gardens of the Keys. A Highlight will be a visit to the see unique Florida Keys Deer in their native habitat.

Fee: $40
Learn the methods utilized in producing tropical fruit trees; how to plant, seed, air layer and graft. All day session that breaks for lunch. Receive a tree to graft to take home.

Bamboo Day
10 am to 2 pm
Instructor: Daniel Holmes
Fee: $45
Learn to grow and cultivate different varieties of Bamboo and their uses. Includes a tour of the Park’s 70 varieties of bamboo, which is the largest public collection of tropical bamboo in the United States. Demonstrations by Bamboo craftsman, Bamboo handicraft exhibit, plants, products, and books will be available. Rice cooked in bamboo will be served.

Essentials of Backyard Horticultural
10 am to 2 pm
Instructor: Chris Rollins
Fee: $25 per session
Part 1 climate soil & irrigation. Part2 Pruning, fertilizing, and mulching. Part 3 disease, weed control, insects and chemicals.
June 14
Mango Mania
10 am to 1 pm
Instructor: Chris Rollins
Fee: $50.
It’s everything you want to know about mangos; how to grow them, their insect and disease problems, recipes, and the many varieties. Sample fruits until the juice drips from your elbows, and taste luscious sticky rice with mango. Visit the more than the 150 varieties growing in the Park.

Lychee & Longan Workshop

Fee: $25
Learn about these revered Chinese fruits, from their ancient cultivation to modern mania. Growing needs, problems, and varieties will be covered. Workshop will be held during the Redland Summer Fruit Festival.

Vegetable Gardening, Container Gardening & Unusual Vegetables
10 am to 4 pm
Instructor: Chris Rollins
Fee: $35
Learn various techniques to grow vegetables in your own backyard, including; conventional, exotic and ethnic vegetables as well as planting techniques, and practices needed to produce safe, fresh, and clean vegetables at home.
